China's logistics index reached 50.9 in August, signaling a sustained recovery in demand - Chinese media

The China Logistics Purchasing Federation released the China Logistics Industry Business Index for August on the 2nd. Logistics demand continued to recover, and the logistics industry business index showed a clear improvement.
According to publicly released data, the logistics industry index rose 0.4 points from the previous month to 50.9 in August, indicating an expansion of the economy.
Among the major item indices, the total business volume index and the new orders index, which reflect the demand and supply volume, continued to exceed 50. The total business volume index was 6.
The new orders index has maintained an expansionary range for seven consecutive months. By industry, the new orders index for the rail transport industry, air transport industry, and home delivery industry all reached a high level of 55 or higher.
The new orders index for the transportation and water transport sectors increased significantly from the previous month. The fixed asset investment index for the logistics industry remained in an expanding range in August, indicating that investment in the logistics industry continues to increase.
