China ends ”Summer Train” service after carrying 147 million air passengers - Chinese media

In China, the "Summer Transport System" (special summer transport system) ended on August 31. According to the Civil Aviation Administration, the total number of passengers on civil aircraft during the summer transport period (July 1 to August 31) was 147 million.
The number of passengers on August 15th was 2,565,300, a record high.
It is estimated that the number of commercial flights operated nationwide during the summer holiday season reached a total of 1,199,000, an increase of 3.6% over the same period last year. The average occupancy rate was 84.82%.
In addition, the international air transport market has expanded rapidly, with the number of countries served increasing to 80. It is estimated that the number of international flights during the summer season will be around 123,000.
International flight operations peaked in early August, with around 2,100 flights per day during this period.
