"We have started to deal with some unbelievable, malicious, false comments that have appeared online," Moon Joon-young, a former member of the Korean boy band ZE:A, said on the 8th (today).
When asked in an interview with a Korean media outlet why he had begun legal action against the creation of malicious online posts and the spreading of rumors, he immediately replied as follows:
Earlier, Junyoung said in a comment posted on his SNS that day that he had filed a lawsuit against the high school student who spread false information.
"The content being spread in anonymous communities is false," the statement said, "and we will take strong, zero-tolerance action against malicious online posts and the spread of false facts."
In a related interview, he said, "Not only me, but the person who was by my side when I was at my lowest and most mentally weakest (my spouse) has suffered from false online comments.
"I've decided to take legal action because the rumors have started to spread and I'm frustrated with my upcoming wedding," he continued, adding, "I'm afraid that the rumors will spread and cause a rift between the members of ZE:A.
Junyoung, born in 1989, was a member of ZE:A from 2010 to 2016.
He is currently the CEO of LAKE Entertainment and is involved in various businesses. Recently, he announced his plans to get married in September of this year, which became a hot topic.
In response to a question about this, Junyoung said, "My fiancé's birthday is in September, so we decided to get married in September. We are currently carefully considering the date."
