BTS' V won the award for his solo album "Layover."
According to the "Music Awards," V's solo album "Layover" was chosen as the "Favorite Debut Album."
The iHeartRadio Music Awards are an annual event hosted by the American online radio broadcasting company iHeartRadio.
The awards ceremony, hosted by 'Music Radio,' recognizes the most played artists and songs of the year. This year, the K-Pop category was newly established, with most Korean singers included in the nominations.
However, "Layover" didn't win in the K-Pop category, but in the Favorite Debut Album category, which was up to 10 albums released worldwide.
"Layover" ranked second on the Billboard 200, the main album chart of the US Billboard. Billboard has rated "Layover" as "the best jazz and rock album in the world."
"This album was born from V's taste as an old Seoulite who loves lo-fi Seoul and his childhood playing the saxophone."
It was selected as one of the "30 Best Albums of 2023" by Time Out.
