The film "Heart Man," which will kick off the new year of 2026 in the film industry, tells the story of a returning man, Seung Min (Kwon Sang Woo), who struggles not to miss his first love when he reunites with her, but has a secret he can never tell her.
This comedy unfolds when a dark secret is revealed. Kwon Sang Woo plays Seung Min, the former lead singer of the rock band Ambulance, who once lived his dreams on stage.
However, he has now put his regrets about music deep in his heart and lives a quiet life running a musical instrument store. Since his debut, he has been active in a wide range of acting roles, from action to melodrama and comedy.
Having proven his talent, Kwon Sang Woo will captivate audiences with his emotional and comical acting through SEUNG MIN.
Regarding Seung Min, he said, "'Heart Man' is a work that requires comedy to be expressed very well. The only actor I can think of who can bring out the tone of this film and the character of Seung Min at the same time is Kwon Sang Woo."
In response, Kwon Sang Woo showed his trust in the director, saying, "We've worked together on several projects, so we were already in sync."
The recently released stills cut of SEUNG MIN's character in "Heart Man" shows his past and present, as well as the thrilling moment he once again experienced.
The moment was captured in the video, garnering attention. The image of a young SEUNG MIN exploding with his whole body on stage under the hot lights left a strong impression of the dreams and passion he had, while the image of a house on fire was also vivid.
The stills cuts of Seung Min panicking in the middle of the night are a humorous yet sad portrayal of the current Seung Min, who is struggling with reality.
It will be released in theaters across Korea on January 14th.
