JTBC's new weekend drama ‘Tomorrow Will Be Fine’, premiering on 6th December, is a romance about Lee Kyung-do (Park Seo-joon) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an) – who have both experienced two failed relationships – reuniting as the journalist who reported their affair scandal and the wife of the scandal's protagonist, only to fall deeply and painfully in love once more.
The released character posters capture the true feelings of former lovers Lee Kyung-do and Seo Ji-woo, who meet again by chance, drawing attention. First, Lee Kyung-do, inside a café, gazes blankly at Seo Ji-woo, his first love, standing beyond the glass window. His face, a complex blend of emotions—whether joy or resentment is unclear—hints at the turmoil within Lee Kyung-do, stirred by Seo Ji-woo's appearance.
Seo Ji-woo, standing by the roadside, also wears a sorrowful expression towards her first love, Lee Kyung-do, whom she encounters through the window. Having reunited with her former lover, who once cherished her most, after such a long absence, So Ji-woo's sorrowful gaze holds countless unspoken emotions, stirring the hearts of those who witness it.
Unlike the poignant gazes they exchange, a lingering resentment remains within both Lee Gyond and So Ji-woo, unresolved after their second parting. Lee Kyung-do's words, "You're still cruel," and So Ji-woo's retort, "Didn't you say if I waited, you'd come back?", conceal traces of the emotions they've felt since parting.
Consequently, their past romantic history, so deeply ingrained in each other's lives that it cannot be ended with a simple farewell, becomes even more intriguing. Attention is now focused on what circumstances lie behind Lee Kyung-do and So Ji-woo's conflicting attitudes towards this second breakup, and how their relationship – still yearning for each other while their hearts ache with love – will evolve.
‘Tomorrow Will Surely Come’ begins broadcasting in Korea next month on the 6th at 10:40 PM.
