Japanese woman in her 50s surprise kisses BTS member JIN... ends up in court

A Japanese woman in her 50s who gave a surprise kiss to Jin of the Korean boy band BTS has been put on trial on suspicion of indecent assault.
According to legal circles on the 18th (today), the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office indicted a Japanese woman in her 50s, Ms. A, on suspicion of violating the Sexual Assault Punishment Act on the 12th of this month.
Previously, at a "free hug" event held at Jamsil Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 13th of last year, Mr. A had forcibly hugged JIN around the neck.
The scene of A kissing JIN was spread on social media at the time, causing controversy. After the incident, some BTS fans started a national petition to call for A to be sexually assaulted.
A complaint was filed, asking for an investigation into the violation of the Act on Punishment of Assault. The police then began an investigation, but in March of this year, the investigation was suspended due to the expected length of time required.
However, after Mr. A entered South Korea and turned himself in to the police, the investigation was resumed and the police sent Mr. A to the prosecution in May of this year.
