Actor Lee Youg Ae donates 1 million yen to Thai student unconscious after suffering from cerebral hemorrhage... The heartwarming story continues
Actress Lee Young-ae has donated 10 million won to support Ms Sirinya from Thailand, who suffered a cerebral haemorrhage while studying Korean at Chonnam National University.

According to the university on the 14th, Ms Sirinya, who was studying Korean at its Language Education Institute, was found unconscious in her accommodation in July. Diagnosed with a subdural haemorrhage, she remains in a coma receiving hospital treatment.

 Upon learning of his severe financial hardship, which made treatment and repatriation difficult, students and faculty members, centred around Chonnam National University's rescue volunteer circle 'Rhythm of Hope', initiated a voluntary fundraising drive. The initial target amount was 9 million won, but with continued participation from members of the university community and citizens, over double that amount was raised.

 Upon learning of the situation, actress Lee Young-ae also donated 10 million won to 'Rhythm of Hope'. She conveyed, "I am actually grateful to the students for doing such a good deed."

Mr Sirinya, who has remained unconscious for three months to date, will return to his homeland on the 15th, supported by members of Chonnam National University, citizens, and Korean Air. She is scheduled to be transported to Thailand on a flight departing Incheon Airport at 7:00 PM.

Lee Young-ae has consistently extended her benevolent influence in various areas. She has delivered donations to critical patients, paediatric patients, COVID-19 relief efforts, the Book Immortalisation Project for Vietnamese children, support for Seoul Asan Hospital, and war victims, among others, both domestically and internationally.
