BTS' JUNG KOOK continues his success on Billboard and Spotify... breaking Asian records

BTS's JUNG KOOK continues to set new records on the US Billboard charts, demonstrating his global presence.

JUNG KOOK's first solo debut track "Seven" reached number 146 on the Billboard Global 200 chart dated 25th October, as announced by the US music media outlet Billboard.

　"Seven" has now charted for 117 consecutive weeks since its release on the Global 200. This marks the first time and longest period for any song by an Asian group or solo artist to chart on this chart, setting a new record.

　Furthermore, it entered the "Global (excluding the US)" chart at number 90 on the 25th of October, achieving the longest consecutive chart run for an Asian solo artist at 118 weeks. This once again demonstrated the song's formidable global appeal as a mega-hit.

　Beyond Billboard, "Seven" also set a new record on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart – one of the platform's main charts – by ranking for 119 consecutive weeks. This marks the first time and longest period ever for an Asian solo artist's track to achieve this feat.

Furthermore, on Spotify, "Seven" became the first track by an Asian artist to surpass 2.6 billion streams. It is also the fastest debut track globally to reach this milestone.

　Prior to this, "Seven" achieved nine consecutive weeks at number one on Billboard's "Global (excluding the US)" chart and seven consecutive weeks at number one on the "Global 200". Furthermore, it set the monumental record of simultaneously topping both charts for seven consecutive weeks – the first and longest such streak ever for an Asian artist's song.

　Furthermore, it debuted at number one on Billboard's main singles chart, the Hot 100, and subsequently remained on the chart for 15 weeks. On the UK's Official Singles Chart Top 100, often considered Billboard's counterpart, it debuted at number three and then became the first K-POP solo artist's track to remain on the chart for 14 consecutive weeks.
