PENG SOO's "PROJECT Y" (Project Y) is a crime drama starring Korea's leading actors Han Seo Hee and Jeon Jong Seo.
It has been decided that the film will be released nationwide from January 23, 2026 (Friday) at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya and other theaters. (Distributor:
Nikkatsu/KDDI) On September 10th, the film "PROJECT" just had its world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Set in the entertainment district of Gangnam, Seoul, the story follows two women, Mi-sun and Do-kyung, as they try to escape from their low-life reality.
The story is about a group of people stealing 8 billion won worth of gold bars.
Fulvi said of the film, "It's a mix of adrenaline-fueled action, traumatic childhood, and desperation.
It is a suspenseful story about survival in a tough world." Furthermore, it has been officially selected for screening at the 30th Busan Film Festival, which begins today (September 17th), and is expected to receive rave reviews in Korea.
The film is also highly anticipated by movie fans. The lead role will be played by the actress who made her breakthrough in the TV series "The World of the Married" (20), and has appeared in "Even Though I Know" (21) and "My Name: Lies and Revenge" (2019).
Han Seo Hee, who appeared in Hot Topic productions in succession, has built a solid career with her acting skills across a wide range of genres, from action to romance to period dramas.
Jeon Jong Seo made a stunning debut in London's Burning (2018), captivating audiences with his overwhelming acting ability and presence.
In the film, the two play childhood friends of the same age who grew up together, sharing good times and bad times, and are known to be best friends in real life.
The director is Lee Hwang, who has brought a breath of fresh air to the Korean film industry with his bold subject matter and impactful direction.
