”MINJI & DANIELLE in attendance” ”NewJeans” and ADOR reach agreement breakdown... Second mediation to begin on the 11th of next month

Girl group NewJeans failed to reach a conclusion in the first arbitration of their exclusive contract dispute with management office ADOR.
On the 14th, the 41st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled that ADOR had filed an exclusive lawsuit against the members of "NewJeans."
The arbitration date for the lawsuit to confirm the validity of the contract was held. The arbitration proceedings were held in private, but on the same day, MINJI and DANIELLE, two of the five members of "New Jeans," personally attended the hearing.
He attracted attention by appearing in court. In principle, the parties involved must be present in person at mediation sessions, and the court has previously requested his attendance.
The mediation lasted approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, but the court was unable to conclude the mediation on the same day and set a second mediation date for the 11th of next month.
If the two sides cannot reach an agreement, the court will issue a ruling on October 30th. On the same day, Minji and Danielle answered questions from reporters about the possibility of reconciliation before entering the courtroom.
In response to the question, ADOR reportedly simply replied, "I'm sorry." Prior to this, ADOR filed a lawsuit in December last year to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, alleging that NewJeans had unilaterally declared the termination of the contract.
ADOR's position was that there was no legitimate reason for terminating the contract, while NewJeans' position was that the relationship of trust had been broken, citing ADOR's retaliatory audit against former CEO Min Hee Jin as the departure point.
ADOR countered by claiming that it had gone bankrupt. The court upheld the injunction that prohibited independent activities filed by ADOR. NewJeans did not comply and filed an objection, but the appeal was postponed.
But it wasn't accepted.
