[Official Interview] ”OX:N” is a new unit born from ”OMEGA X” that is ”our own style, but new” - the music and future of the four members

"OX:N", a new unit born from "OMEGA X", has decided to hold a fan live in Osaka and Tokyo.
The unit is made up of four "X" members and was formed to present a clear musical identity within the group.
The group emphasizes the strength of each member's vocals, their charisma on stage, and their artistic diversity. The unit name "OX:N" is a combination of the three independent alphabets "O", "X", and "N".
The name signifies the continuity of the past, present, and future symbolized by the connection between the past, present, and future, and contains the profound message that "may we all continue together forever."
The title song "YOU" from the debut mini album "N" is a fusion of Y2K aesthetics and millennial sounds.
It's a pop song that combines the two. It depicts the straightforward feeling of devoting everything to love with a light and nostalgic melody. Some of the songs on the record were written, composed, and arranged by the members themselves.
Some of the works they participated in are ones that show their growth as artists. In their activities as "OMEGA X," they place emphasis on their role as K-POP idols.
However, at this fan live concert as "OX:N", they will show a new, more artistic and mature side of themselves.
In addition to the musical appeal of OX:N and their enthusiasm for fan concerts, the members also have a strong bond with each other.
Their relationships and personalities are also a major highlight. From here, we asked the four members of "OX:N" about each other's charms and the thoughts they put into this project.
Q. I heard that "OX:N" is a unit where each member's individuality is utilized. What do you think is the charm of the members next to you?
Jaehan: Xen has a strong personality. It suits him very well, and I think he understands his own charms very well.
JEHYUN has a clear image of what he wants to achieve, and his strength is being able to express any style as his own.
YECHAN is the most planned and intelligent in his movements. This aspect makes him stand out and makes him more successful.
XEN: I have never seen JEHYUN feel stressed. I wonder what kind of outlook on life you have to have to live without feeling stressed.
JEHYUN: If you look closely at each of us, you can see that we each have a hidden charm that is the opposite of what we appear on the surface.
YECHAN: JEHYUN hyung is very good at keeping himself calm. He always stays the same, which is why this team can work with peace of mind.
Q. There are five songs recorded on the mini-album "N." Please tell us which song is your favorite. Why? What do you like about it? What part do you want people to listen to?
Jaehan: My favorite song changes from day to day, but for now, "SUIT&TIE" is my favorite. The impact I had when I first heard it is still strong in my memory.
XEN: I've been listening to SUIT&TIE a lot recently. The diverse vocals of each member are very pleasant to listen to. JEHYUN: LET ME
The atmosphere of the song matches my taste, and I also created the choreography with YECHAN, so it's a song that I have a special attachment to.
YECHAN: I like "ORPHEUS". The lyrics are beautiful, and when I listen to it, it makes me think of a lot of things.
I think there is a difference between what you want to show and what you are expressing during your time with "X" and your current activities with "OX:N". What do you feel is the biggest difference?
Jaehan: I think OX:N has grown since OMEGA X because we've prepared it to have a more mature and clear identity.
JEHYUN: I wanted to express and convey a more manly and mature vibe. YECHAN: I want to meet with our fans more often as OX:N and bring them lots of fun.
I want to focus on songs that will get everyone excited about the music. Q. You have a 90-minute live event scheduled for August in Osaka and Tokyo. What kind of experience do you want your fans to have?
Jaehan: I want to create a concert that will leave people with deep emotions and happiness when they remember that day, even after time has passed.
XEN: I want to make wonderful memories with all my fans. The start of my future activities in Japan
JEHYUN: It's also a stage for the four of us, so we want to have fun together with our fans.
I want to show a new and diverse version of the "X" songs and the 90-minute stage that the four of us will be creating.
YECHAN: I want to put on a fun performance that will naturally get Japanese fans standing up and cheering.
Q. How many times have you come to Japan? If you have had a chance to spend some time here in the past, please share your memories. Where would you like to go this time? Is there anything you are looking forward to?
Jaehan: I haven't been there that many times, but I can't even remember how many times I've been there. I want to go there more in the future and meet my fans.
I love it! XEN: I always say this every time I get asked this question, but I would like to drink matcha green tea while watching the autumn leaves in Kyoto in the fall. Not for work, but for my personal life.
I'd like to go there on a trip. JEHYUN: This will probably be my 10th visit to Japan. As always, I'm looking forward to making peaceful and happy memories here.
YECHAN: I've been there countless times, but I don't feel like I've had much time to enjoy the local culture. I'd definitely like to come back on a solo trip someday and relax in a quiet place.
Q. Finally, please give a message to the fans who are looking forward to your first live event since your debut as "OX:N".
Jaehan: During the time I spend with OX:N, I want to do my best to be a force for FOR X (fans).
I'm grateful for X's sincerity. We are so happy because of that sincerity. I really love you.
