On the 16th, Gyuri appeared as a witness at the trial of Song Ja-ho and others on suspicion of fraud at the 12th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court.
Gyuri was previously in a relationship with Song Ja-ho and worked at the PICA project as a curator and public relations officer for a year.
When Jaho started the PICA Coin project, he was listed in the white paper as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CCO) and advisor. On the same day, Gyuri participated in Song Jaho's business to a certain extent.
She said, "I knew absolutely nothing about virtual assets, and I didn't read the PICA Token White Paper.
"I have never participated in or gained any profit from illegal coin business. I have hardly responded to Song Ja-ho's requests when it came to depositing and withdrawing coins.
"I have never made any profit from the coins, just returned them or sent them to the bank immediately after receiving them," he emphasized. Song Ja-ho was urged by investors to invest in unsecured art.
He is suspected of manipulating the price of PICA Coin, a virtual asset, by recruiting users. In July 2023, he was arrested on suspicion of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specified Economic Crimes (fraud), embezzlement, obstruction of business, and violation of the Capital Markets Act.
Gyuri began a public relationship with Song Ja-ho in October 2019, but broke up in 2021. Since then, Gyuri has been questioned as a witness in Song Ja-ho's case.
