In an interview with P, Lee Jung-jae revealed that he dieted for a year to portray Song Ki-hoon's transformation in seasons two and three of the Netflix series "Squid Game."
Lee Jung-jae said, "The director must have been thinking about the fans who enjoyed Season 1 when he wrote the script and filmed it, and I will do my best to support the show because I have received support from all over the world.
"I was willing to try anything, but one of the things I thought was, 'Wouldn't it be good to show a gradual change in my appearance?' I even turned down a fun dinner party and went to the filming site.
"There was catering, but I could hardly go," he confessed. "I gradually lost 10 kg. I don't need to prepare anything else for the people who prepare the food.
I asked them to steam only the vegetables that were going to be served as side dishes, and they packed them into three containers. I received one at noon, ate one at night, and took the other to my lodgings to eat the next morning.
