China's small and medium-sized enterprises say their economy is running ”overall stable” - Chinese media

According to the latest data, in the first five months of this year, the economic operations of China's small and medium-sized enterprises remained stable overall, and major economic indicators continued to increase.
In the first five months of the year, the added value of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises (those with annual main operating revenues of 20 million yen or more) increased 1.5% year-on-year.
This is an 8.0% increase from the same period last year. Of the 31 major manufacturing industries, 28 industries maintained an increase. The operating profits of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies of a certain size or larger reached 32.6 trillion yen (approximately 653.8 trillion yen).
Among them, profits in the equipment manufacturing industries, such as computers, communications and electronic equipment, and electrical machinery, showed relatively rapid growth.
In addition, the overall export volume of small and medium-sized enterprises continues to be strong. The small and medium-sized enterprise export index for May was 50.7.
This marks the 14th consecutive month that the index has exceeded 50, the dividing line between economic expansion and contraction.
