”I wonder if he's remorseful”... Prosecutors seek 7-year prison sentence for TAEIL (former NCT) on ”sex crime charges”

Prosecutors have demanded a seven-year prison sentence for TAEIL (31/real name Moon TAEIL), who was charged with sexual assault and left the Korean boy group NCT.
The 26th Division of the Seoul Central Regional Criminal Affairs Council announced today that it will issue a special indictment on sexual assault cases (non-consensual indecent assault cases) on the 18th.

"Even if an agreement has been submitted, I want the severity of the crime to be fully considered when sentencing," he said.
"TAEIL has accepted the apology and expressed his intention not to seek punishment from the investigative authorities," the statement said, adding, "TAEIL regrets his mistake and has taken a sexual crime prevention education program and received psychological counseling.
"I am reflecting on my actions and will never make the same mistake again," he said, asking for leniency. TAEIL also said in his final statement, "I am very sorry to everyone who was disappointed in me," and "I hope you will take leniency.
"I will think of this as my last chance in life, do whatever job I can to contribute to society, and live my life to the best of my ability," he said.
During the trial, the lawyers for TAEIL, Lee and Hong stated that the police investigation had been ongoing since August last year.
