[Official Report] Sungmo (former Supernova) announces new song and best album release to commemorate 10th anniversary at birthday event!

Idol group SUPER JUNIOR continues to run in “Express Mode” even after 20 years since their debut.

SUPER JUNIOR's 12th full album, Super Junior25, will be released at 6:00 p.m. on July 8th on various music distribution services such as Melon, FLO, genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ MUSIC, KuGou Music, and Kuwo Music. The album features a total of nine tracks, including the title track “Express Mode.”

In particular, the title track 'Express Mode' is a cool, upbeat club pop song with a danceable sound and an addictive chorus.

　Additionally, ahead of the album's release, teaser images (pictures) based on the concept of an award ceremony called SUPER AWARDS, where members of SUPER JUNIOR award each other, were unveiled through the group's official social media accounts. The teaser image released on the 17th featured the members of SUPER JUNIOR gathered backstage in a carefree and lively manner, capturing the attention of fans.

　Meanwhile, SUPER JUNIOR's 12th full-length album Super Junior25 will also be released on CD on July 8th. Sungmo (formerly of Supernova) announced at his birthday event 'SUNGMO Birthday Party 2025 ‘Our Day’' held on June 15th, 2025, that he will release a new song and a commemorative best album to celebrate his 10th anniversary as a solo artist on August 4th.

At the daytime session of the birthday event 'SUNGMO Birthday Party 2025 ‘Our Day’,' the venue was packed, and when a video appeared on the screen saying, “Let's all sing the birthday song together!” the audience immediately joined in unison, singing “♪ Happy Birthday ~ Dear Sungmo ~ ♪” as a birthday gift for Sungmo, kicking off the event.

Sungmo, who appeared with a smile, thanked the fans who had gathered at the venue and those watching the live stream, and sang 'Hidamari', saying, “This is a song I want to sing with everyone.” He then performed 'Only 4U' and 'DMJ' with a powerful and resonant voice.

Suddenly, along with the birthday song, Sungmo's friend and Korean ballad legend 'VIBE' member Yoon Min-seok, and Korean variety show talent Kyung-sik, who is currently active in Japan, made a surprise appearance. They brought a special cake made from 'rice cake', a staple of Korean celebrations, to join in the festivities.

Min-seok then performed 'Sake', a famous drama OST that Sungmo had often sung and admired.
Not only Sungmo but the entire venue was captivated by his voice. They then heated up the atmosphere by passionately singing 'Love Me Once Again' together.

The venue remained heated as they performed 'Romence', 'You', 'I'm Loving You' and 'Hello & Goodbye' consecutively. At one point, Sungmo asked the audience, “Do you want to sing along, or just sing parts of it?” but the audience responded with ambiguous expressions, so Sungmo' playfully said, “Well, you can do whatever you like.”
With his signature rhythmic communication, he elicited smiles from the audience, maintaining a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout.

“They told me to wrap it up, but is there any announcement? Is that okay? The staff said to wrap it up, so I'll do it for now!” He then moved on to 'Butterfly (JP)'. This song is one he often listens to when driving back to his hometown of Busan.

As soon as Sungmo left the stage, the audience erupted in a deafening chorus of “encore!” Then, new announcements began appearing on the screen at the front of the venue.
First, to commemorate his 10th anniversary since his solo debut on August 4th, it was announced that a new song would be released digitally. Additionally, a 10th-anniversary best album would be released by Yoshimoto Music, and surprisingly, the tracks for the album would be decided by a vote from Juliet fans.

Additionally, September 9th marks his 16th anniversary since his debut in Japan, and while a Tokyo event was already scheduled for September 9th, an Osaka event on September 7th was also added.
As the venue was filled with cheers and applause, Sungmo reappeared. He briefly played a snippet of the new song from his smartphone, the world's first preview. It seems to be a bright-toned track.
And as the true finale, “Only You.” With penlights raised, the entire venue stood up to enjoy the time with Sungmo.

As a celebration, a special cake made from mochi was also presented, and as a parting gift, Sungmo personally handed out individually wrapped mochi to all attendees. This was a birthday gift from Sungmo to Juliet, as his birthday on June 15th also marks the anniversary of the fan club Juliet's renewal.
