”BTS” JIN's ”Don't Say You Love Me” reaches No. 1 on Spotify worldwide, in Japan and Korea... rewriting history of Asian solo songs
BTS's JIN's 'Don't Say You Love Me' is gaining immense popularity.

Released on May 16th (Korean time), the title track 'Don't Say You Love Me' from JIN's second solo mini-album 'Echo' topped the Spotify Top Songs Japan Chart on June 12th (as of June 11th). This marks JIN's 20th consecutive day at the top of the chart, solidifying his overwhelming popularity.

'Don't Say You Love Me' holds the record for the second-longest consecutive 20-day run at number one on the Japanese Spotify chart among K-POP solo artists, tied with ROSE & Bruno Mars' 'APT.' and JIMIN's 'Who'. JIN's 'Don't Say You Love Me' ties for the longest consecutive number one spot on the Japan Spotify chart among K-POP male solo artists and also ties for the longest consecutive number one spot among solo tracks without a featured artist.

'Don't Say You Love Me' rose to number one on the Spotify Global (worldwide) chart (as of May 25th), becoming the first and only song by an Asian artist to reach number one on the Spotify Global chart in 2025. JIN joined Bad Bunny and Playboi Carti as one of three artists to achieve the number one spot on the Spotify Global Chart for a song released in 2025. “Don't Say You Love Me” also secured the number two spot on the weekly Spotify 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart (for the period May 30th to June 5th), marking its second consecutive week at number two, demonstrating the song's strong global appeal.

JIN's 'Don't Say You Love Me' also topped the Korean Spotify chart (June 8th and 9th), joining JUNG KOOK's 'Seven', JIMIN's 'Who', and BTS's 'Dynamite' as one of four Asian artist tracks to reach number one on all three charts: Spotify Global, Korea, and Japan. It is also one of three tracks by Asian solo artists to achieve this feat.

JIN's 'Don't Say You Love Me' has also proven its immense popularity on Shazam, the world's largest music search platform. In particular, it has been at the top of the Shazam Japan chart for 22 consecutive days up to the latest chart. On Deezer Japan, it has also been at the top of the chart for an extended period up to the latest chart, with all seven tracks from JIN's 'Echo' charting.
