韓国与党「”一本化”条件の提示を」…李俊錫候補「厚顔無恥だ」
South Korean ruling party calls for ”unification” conditions... Candidate Lee Jun-seok calls it ”shameless”
On the 26th, Kim Yong-tae, emergency response committee chairman of the ruling People Power Party, said to Lee Jun-seok, presidential candidate of the New Reform Party, "I want you to present the prerequisites for unifying the candidates."
"I'm not planning to propose it," he said, "I can't run a government with such a shameless attitude."
"I can't believe he's going to be the leader of the Democratic Party," Kim said at the party's election committee meeting held in the National Assembly that morning, saying, "Candidate Lee is also a 'President Lee Jae-myung' (the Democratic Party of Korea)."
"He says he will 'prevent the (candidate) from taking power.' If that is the case, then we are by no means 'other' (meaning allies)," he said, once again sending a love call to candidate Lee to unite.
Chairman Kim said, "I fully respect the fact that candidate Lee said he is not considering unifying the party," but added, "If the goals and missions that the two parties are trying to achieve are the same, there is no reason for us to be unconditionally opposed to it."
However, candidate Lee responded, "How ridiculous was the situation (when he was ousted from his position as chairman of the ruling party)? Now, you're saying, 'The cause is to stop candidate Lee.'
"If you don't, you're a traitor.' I would be too ashamed to say that," he said. "I can't believe that someone would be able to run politics with such a shameless attitude.
"I can't believe it," he added.
