Chinese suspect Cha Cheol Nam of ”Siheung murder” confesses, ”They didn't pay me back 30 million won” (South Korea)

Cha Cheol-nam, a Chinese national who was arrested after killing two people and injuring two others in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, and then fleeing the scene, said during police investigations that he had “owed 30 million won in debt from 12 years ago.”
According to the police on the 20th, Cha was arrested at around 7:24 pm on the 19th and was taken to Siheung Police Station, where he was arrested on the morning of the 20th.
The suspect was questioned about the motive of the crime until 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Cha had lent about 30 million won to his close Chinese friend, a brother and sister named A, in their 50s, on several occasions since 2013.

Cha, a Chinese national, entered Korea in 2012 on a residence visa (F4) and has been living in the Jeongwang-dong area where the incident occurred. He is close to the A brothers as if they were step-brothers.
The investigation revealed that Cha had no particular job, and was reported to have been working as a day laborer and living off savings he had made abroad in the past.
Cha left the bodies of the A brothers at their respective crime locations and then went to the owner of a convenience store near their residence that he regularly visits at around 9:34 a.m. on the 19th.
He stabbed Ms. C (a woman in her 60s) with a weapon and fled. Also, at around 1:21 p.m. on the same day, he stabbed Ms. C, the owner of the house where he lives, in a sports park about 1.3 kilometers away from the convenience store where the crime occurred.
He stabbed a man in his 70s, surnamed D, with a deadly weapon. During police investigations, Cha reportedly stated that the crimes against the two men were unplanned and accidental.
In the case of Mr. C, the motive for the crime was stated to be "because they said bad things about me," while in the case of Mr. D, the motive was stated to be "because they ignored me."
Mr. C and Mr. D are currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
On the 20th, police announced that they would be applying for an arrest warrant for Cha on charges of murder and other offenses.
