The play ”Shakespeare in Love” will be performed again in July...Lee Kyu Hyun x Song Woo Hyun x Lee Sang Yi x ONG SUNG WOO (former WANNA ONE) are cast

The Korean theater industry has announced that the play "Shakespeare in Love" will open on July 5 at the CJ Towol Theater in the Seoul Arts Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The production company SHOWNOTE announced this on the 19th. "Shakespeare in Love" is a drama based on the movie of the same name that swept the prestigious film festivals such as the Academy Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.
The play is set in 16th century London, England, where a struggling young writer, William Shakespeare, meets Viola de Lesseps, an aristocrat with dreams of becoming an actress, and begins to write again.
The story unfolds as the protagonist begins to write the story. The film is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions and co-written by Robert Downey Jr., who has worked on Billy Elliot, Network, and Rocketman.
The play was adapted for the stage by British author Lee Hall, who wrote the play. After its debut in London's West End in 2014, it has been adapted for the stage in countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Japan, and South Africa.
The show will premiere in Korea in 2023, and this season will be the revival. SHOWNOTE will have 18-year-old actor from the musical "Hedwig" and the film "Noryang" take on the male lead role of William Shakespeare.

Other performers for this season's production include Song Young-gyu and Lim Cheol-hyun as investors involved in the production of the play, and Chi-young as the theater owner Henslow.
Jung Wi-wook, Kim Dae-jung, Lee Ho-Yeon as Lord Wessex, Viola's fiance who is trying to marry her in an arranged marriage, Oh Jung-taek as Marlowe, a successful playwright and friend of Shakespeare, and Seo
Changwon and others will also be performing. The show will begin on July 5th and run until September 14th.
