China civil aviation achieves year-on-year growth in three major transport indicators: Chinese report

According to the Civil Aviation Administration, the three major indicators of China's civil aviation operations in the first quarter of this year (January-March) - total traffic turnover, passenger traffic, and cargo and mail traffic - all increased compared to the same period last year.
The total volume of transport turnover in the entire industry in the first quarter increased 10.5% year-on-year to 38.59 billion ton-kilometers. The volume of passenger transport increased 4.9% year-on-year to 190 million people, and the volume of cargo and mail transport increased 1.2% year-on-year to 1.2 billion people.
The volume of cargo transported increased by 11.7% to 2.243 million tons. The average daily aircraft utilization rate was 9.2 hours, an increase of 0.3 hours.
During the same period, the total number of flight hours transported increased by 4.8% to 3,584,000. The number of flights increased by 2.6% to 3,584,000.
The cumulative total was 1.36 million units. The average number of flights per day increased by 7.3% to 17,564. The normal operation rate was 94.5%, up 4.9 percentage points.
This year's Labor Day holiday is five days long (May 1st to 5th). Civil aviation passenger traffic was approximately 10.75 million, with a daily average of 2.15 million.
It is predicted that the number of visitors will increase by 8% compared to the same period last year. At the peak during the holidays, the number is expected to exceed 2.3 million.
