Air Busan celebrates 15th anniversary of Busan-Osaka route (Korea)
South Korean low-cost carrier (LCC) Air Busan announced on the 27th that "the 26th of this month marked the 15th anniversary of the launch of our Busan-Osaka route."
The Busan-Osaka route was the first Korean LCC to be launched by Air Busan in April 2010, and is the first Korean LCC to launch a route between Busan and Fukuoka.
Air Busan has been swiftly absorbing the demand amidst the fierce competition between the two major Korean airlines, and in 2013, four years after launching the service,
The airline took the top spot by increasing its passenger occupancy rate on the Busan-Osaka route to the high 30% range, and has maintained the top position in passenger occupancy rate so far this year, except for the period of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The total number of passengers on the Busan-Osaka route was over 3.4 million (from the start of service until March this year), and the number of flights exceeded 20,000 in total.
