At the first appeal hearing held on the 7th of last month, Eru's lawyer stated, "The defendant's mother has been suffering from severe dementia for the past 5-6 years, but she relies heavily on her son, the defendant."
The judge requested that the case be dismissed. Eru also reflected, saying, "I will live a life without mistakes from now on." In response, the court granted a final suspended sentence. Eru appealed for leniency, citing his mother's dementia.
