Japanese police have confirmed that the male climber who died on the 22nd of this month after being found in a state of cardiac arrest on the mountain trail leading to Mt. Okuho Takadake, located at an altitude of 3,190 meters in the Northern Alps in central Honshu, was a Korean national.

Police received a call from the mountain manager around 8:25 a.m. on the 22nd saying that a man was lying on the ground, but Kim later died, the news agency said.
Mr. Kim entered the country through Nagoya Chubu Airport on the 19th, and on the same day the two of them planned to climb the mountain for 5 days and 4 nights.
