Zebras running around residential areas and roads in Seoul...Where did they come from? (with video)

A zebra that escaped from the Seoul Children's Grand Park roamed the streets and residential areas of Seoul's Gwangjin District. Authorities secured the zebra three hours later.

According to the Seoul Children's Grand Park, a zebra escaped from the Seoul Children's Grand Park zoo around 2:50 pm on March 23rd. Zebras have been spotted everywhere in Gwangjin-gu, including the residential area of Jayang-dong.

Around 4:20 p.m., police, firefighters and park keepers surrounded the zebra and set up a safety fence. Around 6:00 p.m., about three hours after the breakout, they succeeded in securing it safely.

The Seoul Children's Grand Park explained that the zebra destroyed a wooden deck installed in the park and escaped. An official said, "It is a zebra born in Seoul Children's Grand Park in 2021. We will do my best to return safely."
