Putin Embarks on Nuclear Threats Again: 'Nuclear War Rise'
Russian President Vladimir Putin has also mentioned the possibility of nuclear war.

According to Reuters and other sources on December 7th (local time), President Putin said at the Human Rights Council's annual meeting on the same day that "Russia regards nuclear weapons as both a means of defense and a means of counterattack," adding that "the danger of nuclear war is growing."

This follows recent attacks on military installations on the Russian mainland. In Russia, three people were killed in explosions at two military airfields in Ryazan, Ryazan and Engels, Saratov. Ryazan and Engels are regions 480-720 kilometers from the eastern border of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry called it a "Ukrainian attack using drones." On the 6th, an airfield in the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine, was attacked by a drone.

"We have the most advanced nuclear arsenal," Putin said, adding, "I don't want to wave it around. Consider nuclear weapons as a means of deterrence," is his explanation. "We are not deploying nukes in other countries like the United States," Putin said. It can be interpreted as meaning that the use of nuclear weapons will not be ruled out if attacks on the Russian mainland continue.

Putin also hinted that the war could drag on. "A 'special military operation' could take a long time," he stressed.
