Brother-sister duo AKMU will be holding a solo concert in June to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut, management office YG Entertainment announced on the 7th.
AKMU will hold their 10th anniversary concert "10VE" at the KSPO Dome (formerly the Gymnastics Arena) in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 15th and 16th.
On YG Entertainment's official blog, a performance poster was posted showing the emblem of the academy, the official fan club of "AKMU," surrounded by a laurel wreath.
YG Entertainment said, "We decided to create the title of the concert as '10VE' by combining the English word 'LOVE', which means love, and the number '10'.
As AKMU enters the new year, they are preparing the best performance ever, filled with love for the fans who have been with them on their musical journey so far. Please look forward to it."
AKMU debuted in 2014 under the name "Akdong Musician" and changed their stage name to "AKMU" in 2019.
Brother and sister Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Soo-hyun wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and produced the song, creating a hit song filled with their unique sensibility.
To celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, AKMU has decided on the name of their first official fan club, "AKKADEMY".
The name is a combination of "AKMU" and "ACADEMY," and expresses AKMU's ambition to complete a world of art together with their fans.
The fan club emblem, reminiscent of a magic school, incorporates the unique flair of "AKMU."
Over the past three months, AKMU has been broadcasting in Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Changwon, Daejeon, and Yongin.
They recently finished their nationwide tour "AKMUTOPIA," with 17 performances in 10 cities, including Incheon.
Also, in August, the event will be held at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Tokyo.
They will be appearing at the large-scale music festival "SUMMER SONIC 2024".
