Musical ”APRIL is Your Lie” to feature FTISLAND's Lee HONG-KI, Lee Jae-jin, Jeong Ji So and others

Performance production company EMK Musical Company announced the casting for their new musical "Your Lie in April" on the 3rd.
"Your Lie in April" is a stage adaptation of the manga of the same name by Japanese manga artist Naoshi Arakawa.
It is a coming-of-age story about the process in which the unlucky pianist prodigy Arima Kousei and the genius violinist Miyazono Kaori change as they communicate with each other through music.
The role of Arima Kousei, who has stopped playing piano due to trauma after his mother's death, will be played by Lee Hong-ki, a member of the group "FTISLAND", and actor Yoon So
The role will be played by singer Kim Hee-jae, who made her debut in the musical "Mozart!" last year. The role of Miyazono Kaori, who will lead Arima Kousei back into the world of music with her overwhelming violin playing, will be played by actress
The cast includes Lee Bom from Morning Musume, singer and musical actor KEI from the group LOVELYZ, and actor Jeong Ji So.
This is Jeong Ji So's musical debut.
The role of Watari Ryota, a friend of Arima Kousei and the object of Kaori Miyazono's unrequited love, will be played by
Lee Jae-jin, actor Kim Jin-woo, and Jo Hwan-ji have been cast. Actors Park Si-in and Hwang Woo-rim will appear in the role of Sawabe Tsubaki, Kousei Arima's childhood friend.
All the songs for this production were composed by Frank Wildhorn, a well-known composer of the musicals "Jekyll & Hyde" and "Death Note."
Writer Riko Sakaguchi participated in writing the lyrics. Korean creative team members include director Joo Jeong-hwa and music director Lee Bom-jae.
It will be a "non-replica" production (a production method that localizes stage direction, etc. based on the original script and music). EMK Musical Company will be the first in Korea to perform it, and it will be the first licensed public performance in the world.
