「BTS(防弾少年団)」やイム・ヨンウンのコンサートチケット詐欺をはたらいた30代、2審で減刑
A man in his 30s who committed BTS and Lim Young Woong concert ticket fraud received a reduction in his sentence in the second trial
A man in his 30s who stole 80 million won from around 30 people by posting online advertisements offering to sell concert tickets for a famous singer has had his sentence reduced in the second trial.
The First Criminal Division of the Chuncheon District Court (Judge Shim Hyung-geun) sentenced A (30), who was indicted on charges of fraud, to three years in prison.
On the 27th, the court overturned the original ruling and sentenced him to two years and 10 months in prison. A posted online images of singer Lim Young Woong and group "BTS" for three months from August last year.
He was put on trial on suspicion of extorting 80 million won from around 30 people by posting a message offering to sell tickets to a famous singer's concert.
It was discovered that a significant number of the victims were foreigners with an interest in the Korean Wave.
The investigation revealed that Person A had been sentenced to prison for fraud and committed another crime four months after his release.
The first instance court stated, "The compensation for the damage suffered by the victim has been minimal.
The court also ruled that the defendant had already received prison time for fraud five times, and sentenced him to prison. A appealed the ruling, and the court of second instance ruled that the defendant had regretted his mistakes and that some damage had been done during the investigation stage.
Considering the fact that the defendants had already paid restitution to the victims and that an additional 6 million won was paid back to some of the victims in this trial, the sentence imposed by the original court was somewhat severe and unjust," the court ruled.
