”Queen of Tears” surpasses 20% in viewership rating in EP12... surpassing ”HyunBin & Son Yejiin”

tvN Saturday and Sunday drama "Queen of Tears," starring actors Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, continues to march high in popularity amid skyrocketing viewership ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, a rating agency, the ratings for "Queen of Tears," which aired on the 14th, rose to 20.7% of the national paid household standard and 23.2% of the metropolitan standard. The ratings for "Queen of Tears," which has been on a continuous upward trend, has now surpassed the 20% barrier and is breaking its own record on a daily basis. After the broadcast, the show has been flooded with comments and reactions from various online communities, and has even become the talk of the town.

It has also surpassed tvN's previous record of "Dokkebi~You Gave Me My Beloved Days~," which had the second-highest viewership ratings in tvN's history. 'Queen of Tears' tells the story of Hong Hye-in (played by Kim Ji-won), the third generation of the Queen's Group conglomerate and queen of a department store, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun), the son of the village head of Yongdu, a supermarket prince, and their three-year marriage crisis and their miraculous love story that begins again. The work attracted a lot of attention even before it aired, and the actors' passionate performances, visuals and chemistry, and dramatic developments were cited as the reasons for its popularity.
