Kang Shin-chul, vice commander of the US-ROK Combined Forces Command, who took office on the 2nd of this month, said, ``The ROK-US Combined Forces Command is the alpha and omega of the ROK-US alliance,'' and ``we will continue to build it as the strongest combat command representing the free world.''
