MBC is nervous about Big Hit's "extension". They are afraid of the boycotts those idols might do one after another.
MBC was reported to be "tense" because PLEDIS entertainment was added to the management office Big Hit Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Big Hit) of the Korean idol group "BTS".

It is speculated that the artists of BigHit's label may reject the appearance of MBC. If the number of idol groups who boycott the music program "MUSICCORE" of MBC increases while the number of idols of Big Hit increases due to the merger, it will be a "big problem" for MBC.

It was from the end of 2018 that it was said that the relationship between Big Hit and MBC had deteriorated. Initially, there was a conflict while showing the popular idol group "EXO" as the main performer of MBC "Gayo Daejejeon". BigHit was reportedly offended for disdaining the globally successful "BTS."

Since then, the Big Hit side has refused to appear in the MBC of the artists who belong to it, several Korean media reported.

At the Kayo Grand Award stage held at the end of the following year (2019), "BTS" will appear only in KBS and SBS. Only MBC could not see "BTS" in the year-end terrestrial stage.

Under such circumstances, the MBC side is said to be worried that "SEVENTEEN" and "NU'EST" as well as "BTS" will be boycotted in "MUSICCORE" in the future.
