Park Shin Yang, an actor who turned into a painter, revealed his thoughts on acting. Park Shin Yang appeared on JTBC's "Newsroom" which was broadcast on the afternoon of the 14th in South Korea.
We then talked about his activities as a painter. For 10 years, Park Shin Yang painted about 130 paintings and held exhibitions.
Park Shin Yang said, ``Acting is the story of the person who was created.
The next step is to express it through characters.
If you look at a painting from another perspective, it is a perfect one-man play where you write the script and you act alone.
I think this applies to. It's very freeing," he said. Park Shin Yang was then asked if he had any nostalgia for his acting career, and answered, ``I don't have any nostalgia for acting or painting.''
"It's the same expression (activity), so there's no such thing as (nostalgia)," he said calmly. When the anchor said, ``That's a very honest answer,'' he replied, ``Good project.
If there is a good character, we will consider it hard." Lastly, Park Shin Yang said that he chose acting and painting based on the emotion that ``touching'' gives him.
He said, ``I was moved and decided that I should become an actor, and then I was moved and decided that I should take up painting.
Emotion is such a scary thing, it's such a decisive thing...(I thought).
I think it would be really great if I could create that kind of impression, just like the impression I received in that way.''
We injected a sense of expectation into our activities. Park Shin Yang has not been active in acting since the KBS2TV series ``Town Lawyer Cho Deul-ho 2: Crime and Punishment'' in 2019.
