The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) is the first Korean sports organization to obtain ISO27001 (ISMS) certification!

The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) has acquired the international information protection certification "ISO27001 (ISMS Certification, Information Security Management System Certification)".
The organization announced that it has become the first Korean sports organization to obtain ISO 14001:2015 certification.
27001 is a global standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
This is the world's highest level of information protection management system certification, and is a system that evaluates the compliance of an organization's administrative, technical, and physical security systems for information protection based on international standards.
The KLPGA has established a system of information security and risk management, compliance with laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information, and security and vulnerability improvement of key information service infrastructure technologies.
We have met all three criteria and obtained ISO27001 certification. We have carefully constructed an information security system in various areas, including member information, competition data, and online services.
With this certification, the KLPGA has been recognized as an organization with an official international-standard information security system.
The fact that the organization has become the first sports organization to achieve ISO27001 certification is significant in that it goes beyond simply establishing an information security system and sets a new standard for the industry.
KLPGA Chairman Kim Sang-yeol said, "Information protection is an essential management element in the sports industry, and obtaining ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that the KLPGA is leading the way in this area.
Based on this ISO 27001 certification, the KLPGA is working to prevent information security incidents in advance and reduce risks.
By reducing the risk, the association hopes to further increase its credibility externally and to continue to expand new businesses that utilize data and AI, which it is promoting.
