More than half of Asia's wealthiest individuals have indicated their intention to increase their investments in cryptocurrencies over the next few years.

According to the APAC High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) Report 2025 published by num, 87% of Asia's wealthy have already invested in crypto assets, with an average portfolio size of 1.2%.
The report states that 60% of the wealthy people surveyed said they would increase the proportion of their crypto assets in the next two to five years. The survey was conducted in 10 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The survey was conducted among 270 high net worth individuals with over $1 million in assets under management and professional investors with over 10 years of experience. Most of the respondents were based in Singapore, with some in South Korea, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
The report states that "90% of respondents see digital assets not as a 'speculative investment' but as an important tool for long-term asset preservation and intergenerational asset inheritance."
Gerald Goh, co-founder and APAC CEO of Signum, said, "Digital assets are already an essential part of the high-net-worth market in the APAC region.
"Despite the uncertain macro environment, portfolio diversification, intergenerational wealth transfers, and demand for institutional products are driving adoption of crypto assets," he said.
The survey found that 87% of Asian wealthy individuals own crypto assets, and of those, about half have allocated more than 10% of their portfolios to crypto assets.
The overall average rate was 17%. 87% of respondents also said, "If it's offered through a regulated provider, I would use a private bank."
80% of active investors hold tokens of major blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
The main reason cited by 56% was "portfolio diversification."
