According to Kyodo News, Minister of State for Territorial Issues Jiro Akama said at a press conference on the 18th, "Under international law, Takeshima is clearly an inherent part of our country's territory."
He added, "We will continue to use the Territory Museum as a base to strengthen our efforts to send out (messages) both domestically and internationally."
On the 14th of this month, the Japanese government unveiled the Gateway Hotel at the Territory and Sovereignty Exhibition Hall in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
The Gateway Hall has a newly opened space called "Gateway Hall." Inside, there are several dozen chairs in front of three screens, and the walls are lined with books dealing with territorial issues.
There is also a digital map display stand where visitors can view old maps. In response, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed strong regret through a statement by a spokesperson on the same day and announced the closure of the facility.
They repeatedly demanded this and summoned the chief of mission of the Japanese Embassy in South Korea to protest.
