South Korean opposition party leader: ”US-South Korea 'fact sheet' is a blank sheet with no content”
Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party, the largest opposition party in South Korea, released a fact sheet on the US-South Korea tariff and security negotiations on the 14th.
Regarding the FS, he said, "It was nothing more than a hollow announcement that even seemed hastily prepared to cover up the Daejangdong allegations," and "It's not a 'fact sheet' but a 'blank sheet.'"
" At the "On-site meeting to denounce the abandonment of appeals over the Daejang-dong development irregularities" held in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province that afternoon, Chang said, "In our economy,
"I view this as a positive thing in terms of easing uncertainty," he said, but added, "It's still just a general agreement, and we can't accept everything the way the U.S. wants."
"It's a trade agreement by Trump, for Trump, and made by Trump (US President Donald Trump)," he said sarcastically. "It's very uncertain even compared to the Korea-US Joint Investment Fact Sheet."
"It's a very short-lived negotiation, and it's not going to resolve the doubts that the public has," he said. "It's nothing more, nothing less than a pitch-black negotiation. Why did the Lee administration and the ruling Democratic Party of Korea wait so long for the National Assembly to ratify it?
"The announcement clearly contained the reasons why he was so reluctant to do so," he said.
"Such remarks are an inappropriate way of shifting the blame for the failure of negotiations to internal pressure and political infighting," he said.
