北朝鮮「G7の非核化声明は国家憲法の侵害…核保有を堅持する」
North Korea: ”G7 denuclearization statement violates national constitution...We will maintain our nuclear weapons program”
North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son said the statement issued by the G7 foreign ministers, including the United States, reaffirming the principle of "complete denuclearization of North Korea" was "the strongest rhetorical statement."
On the 14th, the Korean Central News Agency reported that Foreign Minister Choe had announced that "the G7 has no right to oppose the sovereign choice of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea."
The statement was also published in the Rodong Sinmun, the Workers' Party's official newspaper, which is widely read by residents. Foreign Minister Choi said, "The blatant hostile actions of the G7 foreign ministers are a direct violation of our country's constitution.
He continued, "The G7's inertia in continuing to chant 'denuclearization,' a concept that the world recognizes as impossible to achieve, is placing itself at the forefront of the international community.
"It will only push us to the sidelines and prove that we are a marginalized minority interest group on the fringes of international relations."
"In today's challenging geopolitical environment, possessing nuclear weapons is the most dangerous and hostile nation.
"As long as the external nuclear threat continues and there are forces that use nuclear weapons as a means of tyranny and pursue absolute hegemony, we will remain loyal to the end to the Constitution that perpetuates the possession of nuclear weapons," he said.
"The Democratic People's Republic of Korea's determination to secure the present and future of its state and people through its sincerity and to realize international justice remains firm and unwavering," he stressed.
Choi added, "The path to ensuring peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the Asia-Pacific region is not to advocate unrealistic 'denuclearization.'
He went on to emphasize that the G7 is a "nuclear alliance group that is united and united by nuclear weapons, including the world's largest nuclear power."
The G7 foreign ministers issued a joint statement after their meeting in Canada on the 12th (local time), sharply criticizing the demand for denuclearization aimed at North Korea as an "escapist and double-standard measure."
North Korea's response to the G7's demand for denuclearization and the statement issued in the name of its foreign minister was to turn its status as a nuclear power into a fait accompli and to shift any future US-North Korea dialogue to nuclear disarmament talks.
It is interpreted as meaning that the intention is to draw people in.
