KATSEYE has been nominated for the Grammy Awards, America's most prestigious music awards ceremony, drawing attention from overseas media.
The Recording Academy, which oversees the Grammys, announced the nominees for the 68th Grammy Awards on the 8th.

In the Best New Artist category, they will compete against Olivia Dean, The Marías, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas III, Alex Warren, and Laura Young.
Best New Artist is one of the six General Fields categories. Alongside Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, it is considered a major award.
KATSEYE are nominated in the 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' category for her signature track 'Gabriela'. This includes 'Defying Gravity', performed by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in the film 'Wicked: The Musical', and the OST track 'Golden' from the Netflix animation "KPOP Girls! Demon Hunters", "APT." by BLACKPINK's ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, and "30 for 30" by SZA and Kendrick Lamar.
KATSEYE is a multinational girl group formed through a Korean-American collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. HYBE stated, "KATSEYE's nomination demonstrates the remarkable achievements they have made in the global music market, despite being a rookie group not yet two years into their debut."
ABC News highlighted KATSEYE's nomination, noting, "It's rare for a girl group to be nominated in a major Grammy category, but the nomination of a global girl group is even more exceptional." CNN reported, "KATSEYE's Grammy nomination proves they've had the best year."
