South Korea National Police Agency leads ”cross-border joint operation”... ASEAN member states ”fully participate”
The South Korean police are leading a global anti-fraud operation called "Breaking Chains," and the Southeast Asian Police Cooperation Organization (ASEANPOL) is participating.
According to the Korean National Police Agency on the 6th, the Korean police's proposal for a "supernational" ASEAN member state was approved at the ASEAN General Assembly held in Bangkok, Thailand from the 3rd of this month.
The resolution "Global Cooperative Operation to Combat House Fraud and Human Trafficking" was unanimously adopted by 10 member countries (including Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos).
Operation Breaking Chains targets transnational fraud centers, human trafficking, online fraud, and other threats.
This is a global cooperation project to cut off the links between crime and is currently being promoted by the Korean police. The adoption of this resolution is a "Joint Action between the Korean National Police Agency and ASEAN+3."
The Korean National Police Agency plans to systematically implement specific cooperation with the police of member countries, including information sharing, cooperative investigations, and victim protection.
The plan is to promote this.
