France proposes resolution to ban CBDCs and promote cryptocurrency investment

France has proposed a resolution to ban central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and promote cryptocurrency investments, according to a report from News1.
According to reports, Eric Ciotti, a member of the French Right-wing Bloc, recently spoke about the European Central Bank's (ECB)
The group proposed a resolution to prevent the introduction of a digital euro and to promote investment in euro-denominated stablecoins and virtual currencies.
The congressman said, "In reference to the passage of the CBDC Prohibition Act and the Genius Act in the United States,
"We must do this," he said, adding, "We also need to consider the idea of using virtual currencies as collateral."
