South Korea's ruling party: ”North Korea, join the path of cooperation for peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the international community”

In a commemorative speech at a North Korean arms exhibition, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called for a "radical evolution of the US-South Korea nuclear alliance" and mentioned "corresponding military measures."
On the 5th, South Korea's Democratic Party called on North Korea to "join us on the path of cooperation for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the international community."
Democratic Party spokeswoman Park Ji-hye said at a press conference at the National Assembly on the same day, "North Korea is not only a threat to the Korean Peninsula, but also to the international community.
"We urge the South Korean government to join the 'path of cooperation' for peace and stability. We hope that the South Korean government will respond positively to the proposals for dialogue and cooperation for peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the international community."
The spokesman said, "For the past 80 years, the international community, including the Republic of Korea, has been working together to solve the common challenge of 'maintaining world peace and security.' The sovereign government will continue the efforts to build a peace regime on the Korean Peninsula that have been continued by Presidents Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, and Moon Jae-in, and will strive for true peace.
He added, "The Democratic Party of Korea will continue to make patient and sustained efforts for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula."
