Netflix TV Series ”I Wish Upon a Magic Lamp,” starring Kim Woo, Bin, and Suzy, tops Netflix Korea immediately after release

Kim Woo-bin and Suzy's new drama ‘Wish Upon the Magic Lamp’ topped Netflix's Today's Top 10 Korean Series chart immediately after its release.

‘Wish Upon the Magic Lamp’ is a fantasy romance comedy depicting the story that unfolds when a genie, awakened after 1,000 years, encounters Ga-young (played by Suzy), a human lacking emotions. It has also garnered attention as the latest work from star writer Kim Eun-suk, known for ‘Mr. Sunshine’ and ‘The Glory’.

Released on the 3rd, the first day of the Chuseok (Mid-Autumn Festival) holiday, the drama reached number one on Netflix's Korean popularity rankings within a single day, proving its buzzworthiness.

Starring alongside Suzy are Ahn Eun-jin as the mysterious woman Miju, Noh Sang-hyun as the death angel and eccentric landlord Suh-hyun, Ko Kyu-pil as the genie's divine beast Sae-do who lives as an all-purpose handyman, and Lee Joo-young as Gayon's only friend Min-ji.

The series comprises 13 episodes and is available to watch in its entirety via Netflix.
