BTS member JIMIN departed for Paris, France via Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 30th for overseas schedules. This marked the first time JIMIN had been officially captured by press cameras since his discharge on 11th June, 111 days prior.
On this day, JIMIN appeared wearing a slightly sheer, oversized pastel pink striped shirt. He drew attention with a truly unconventional style: leaving the top three buttons undone while fastening the bottom three.
An overwhelming number of fans gathered at the airport, underscoring his immense popularity. Cheers erupted as JIMIN appeared, and each step towards the departure gate, each smile, was met with thunderous applause.
His appearance was also a major talking point. At the time of his discharge on 11th June, he had stated, "I tried hard to manage my physique, but there were parts that didn't go well. I'll be back soon." However, in approximately 100 days, he shed around 10kg, returning to the form he had shown during his active days.
During his preparations for his return, he was unexpectedly embroiled in rumours of a romantic relationship, but he dealt with the situation head-on, calming the commotion and showing his unwavering stance. JIMIN is now beginning preparations for his return as a complete entity. Starting with his attendance at this Fashion Week, the world is watching with interest to see what activities he will show us in the future.
Meanwhile, the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, a specialist child welfare organisation, announced on the 29th of last month that JIMIN's younger brother, Park Ji-hyun, had joined the Green Noble Club, following in the footsteps of JIMIN and his father. Established in 2017, the Green Noble Club is a sharing network that leads Korea's high-value donation culture, and in eight years has grown to a group of 548 supporters.
In 2021, JIMIN donated 100 million won to support young people preparing for independence in the Busan area, to support children and families facing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to improve the living conditions of children in poor housing, thereby joining the Green Noble Club.
In 2022, JIMIN's father joined the club by participating in the sponsorship of 'I Leader', a human resource development support project run by Green Umbrella. Then, in May this year, JIMIN's younger brother, Park Ji-hyun, who had just completed his military service, joined the club. This made them the Green Noble Club's first family of three members, with father, son and brother all listed together.
