「BTS」JIN、京セラドーム公演でK-POPソロアーティスト史上最高の興行記録を樹立
BTS' JIN sets new box office record for K-pop solo artist with concert at Kyocera Dome
BTS's Jin has once again set a new Billboard record as a K-pop solo artist.

According to Billboard's Top Boxscore, JIN's two-night ‘ RUNSEOKJIN ep_TOUR’ concerts at Kyocera Dome Osaka on 12th and 13th July generated total revenue of $9.6 million, marking the highest-grossing and highest-attended concert ever held by a K-POP solo artist at a single venue. This stands as the number one box office record for a K-POP solo artist, the second highest for any K-POP artist (including groups), and the third highest for any K-POP show (including groups).

Performing before a sold-out crowd at Kyocera Dome, where even the top-tier 8th-floor seats and annotated reserved seats were fully utilised, JIN delivered a mesmerising live performance worthy of his title as the 'Live King', effortlessly commanding both high and low registers. Japanese fans expressed astonishment, noting that selling out every single seat – including the top-tier 8th floor and annotated designated seats – for a solo concert at Kyocera Dome is an extremely rare occurrence even in Japan. Many fans were unaware Kyocera Dome even had an 8th floor. Even when BTS held concerts at Kyocera Dome, they did not open the 8th floor. Photographs showing the venue packed to the rafters, even behind the electronic scoreboards and in seats with no view of the stage, drew gasps of amazement. The sight of the entire dome filled with fans performing a wave became a major talking point.

JIN also set a new Billboard record as an Asian solo artist on the Billboard Top Tour monthly chart.

From 28th June to 10th August (local time), JIN embarked on his first solo fan concert and inaugural solo world tour, ’ RUNSEOKJIN ep_TOUR’. Starting in South Korea, he performed 18 shows across nine cities – Chiba and Osaka in Japan, Anaheim and Dallas in the USA, Tampa, Newark in the USA, London in the UK, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands, delivering 18 performances met with fervent enthusiasm and acclaim.

JIN recorded the highest revenue ($32.5 million) and largest audience (217,000 attendees) among Asian solo artists on Billboard's Top Tours monthly chart. Furthermore, he became the first Asian solo artist ever to surpass $30 million in revenue and 200,000 attendees on Billboard's monthly 'Top Tours' chart. This record drew particular attention as an overwhelming achievement accomplished solely through 12 performances in Japan and the US, excluding JIN's shows in South Korea and Europe.

JIN's exceptional talent and overwhelming reception during his solo world tour also garnered continuous praise from influential media worldwide. Rolling Stone UK awarded JIN's world tour a perfect five-star rating, describing him as "truly one of a kind, a unique entertainer". Paris Match praised JIN's humour, stage presence, and genre-transcending talent as the perfect gift to fans. Forbes analysed that JIN demonstrated stable vocals even on challenging high notes, proving through his wide vocal range and high-note control that he is a powerhouse vocalist beyond his "handsome features". As a global superstar and soloist, JIN received remarkable praise not only from fans but also from numerous media outlets worldwide.

Furthermore, the title track "Don't Say You Love Me" from JIN's second solo album "Echo", released on 16th May, reached number one on the global chart (dated 25th May) of the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify. This marks the first time an Asian artist's song has topped the Spotify global chart in 2025. It has remained in the top 10 of the Spotify global chart for 81 days, holding the record for the longest chart run among songs released in 2025 while continuing its long-running success worldwide. It also holds the record for the fifth-longest top 10 chart run on the global chart among all K-POP songs, including group releases. JIN's album "Echo" has been acclaimed as a masterpiece, with not only the title track "Don't Say You Love Me" but every track receiving immense global love.
