The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards are scheduled to be held on November 19th, and applications for the short film award will begin on the 30th of this month.
The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, Korea's top film festival, will be held on November 19th in Seoul.
The Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu. Established in 1963 to promote the development of the Korean film industry, the Blue Dragon Film Awards have been awarded through a fair and transparent selection process.
This year, the awards will once again bring together the leading figures who have made the Korean film industry shine and film fans for a night of festivities.
The Blue Dragon Film Awards will award the Cheon Jong-won Short Film Award to the next generation of new directors with fresh material, innovative ideas, and potential.
This year too, we are looking forward to short films created with unique perspectives. Anyone with Korean nationality or foreigners currently residing in Korea (including international students) is eligible to submit a film.
The program is open to short films of 40 minutes or less completed after October 14, 2024. Submissions will be accepted online from the 30th of this month until late at night on October 12th, and films selected through preliminary rounds will advance to the final round.
The final winners will be selected through a fair and rigorous selection process by a jury of film experts. The final winners will be announced at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony on November 19th.
