Korean restaurant in Romania displays ”Rising Sun Flag”... ”We sincerely apologize to the Korean people”

A Korean restaurant in Romania that had sparked controversy for its Japanese-style interior and use of the Rising Sun flag, a symbol of militarism, has now removed the items and apologized.
Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungshin Women's University in South Korea said on the 30th, "In response to the protest email, I have issued a lengthy apology and corrections.
According to Professor Seo, the restaurant mainly sells Korean-style hot dogs, and was discovered through information provided by Koreans living in the area.
Professor Seo protested to the restaurant and received an apology and a photo of the restaurant after it had been redacted. The restaurant responded, "The Rising Sun flag was a mural used by the previous tenant, and we will leave it as it is and operate the restaurant as it is."
"It was a big mistake to open the restaurant," he said, "and I sincerely apologize to the Korean people." Professor Seo responded, "I welcome the restaurant's sincere apology and prompt action."
"Through this case, we will continue to launch a global campaign to correct sloppy Korean restaurants around the world," he emphasized.
