韓国の保守団体が「中国人ノービザ入国」反対集会…「滞在地も定かでない」
South Korean conservative group holds rally against ”Chinese entry without visa”... ”We're not sure where they're staying”
On the 29th, the first day that Chinese group tourists were allowed to enter South Korea without a visa, conservative groups held an anti-China rally in Yeouido, Seoul.
The "People's Grassroots Suicide Squad," centered around supporters of former President Yoon Seok-yeol, announced on the same day that it had been "removed from the National Information Resources Management System."
He held a rally demanding an investigation into the fire at the hospital and opposing visa-free entry for Chinese people, claiming, "Starting today, 30 million Chinese tourists will enter the country one after another, but they haven't even filled in the place of their stay."
He went on to point out that "visa-free entry for Chinese nationals should be temporarily suspended until the truth is revealed" regarding the computer network failure caused by a fire at the State Information Resources Administration.
According to unofficial police estimates (as of 5:20 p.m.), 300 people attended the rally.
They held up placards that read, "We are against visa-free entry for 30 million Chinese tourists," and "The safety of our own people comes first before attracting Chinese tourists."
During the rally, they also held up a large flag with the face of Chinese President Xi Jinping upside down, and slogans such as "Destroy the Communist Party of China" and "Only Youn" were sung.
Some participants wore clothing with the words "YOON" written on it.
The Minsajitai concluded the rally without any major clashes and said, "We will hold the same rally at 4 p.m. on the 30th."
"We'll meet up then," he teased.
