”Making hamburgers with gloves that have touched garbage?” - Franchise store in Korea gets angry when pointed out
A South Korean hamburger franchise has sparked controversy by reacting angrily after being seen cooking hamburgers with gloves that had come into contact with garbage.
According to JTBC's program "Case Leader" on the 28th, Mr. A visited a franchise hamburger restaurant in Busan on the 19th.
While waiting for his ordered hamburger to be served, Mr. A watched the hamburger being prepared in the kitchen.
I saw a waiter wearing blue gloves preparing hamburgers take a garbage bag from the trash can and throw it in the corner.
Incredibly, the waiter returned to the counter and took off the gloves.
With the tongs still on, he took the patty and placed it on the bun, then sandwiched it between the buns to complete the hamburger. It was the hamburger that Mr. A had ordered.
When Mr. A asked, "Did you just make the hamburger with gloves that had just touched the trash?" the waiter replied, "It's fine because they're special gloves."
When the store manager heard about this situation, he questioned him, saying, "Don't you know that this is illegal filming?" When Mr. A showed the filmed footage, the store manager showed no sign of apologizing, and instead said, "
So you want me to make a new one?" he said. When Mr. A said, "You should have said 'I'm sorry' first," the store manager finally apologized.
Mr. A then informed the headquarters of the franchise of this fact. However, the headquarters did not mention the procedure for identifying the problem or future improvement plans, and simply said, "
The only response they gave was a lukewarm "I'm sorry." Mr. A also reported the store to the city hall's sanitation department.
